Dichos - Spanish sayings

"El ladron juzga por su condicion".
Translation: (The thief see you as himself.)
This is use to indicate that a thief believes that everyone is like him: A thief.

2-
"El que se pica es porque aji come".
Translation: (If it burns it's because you eat peppers)
This means that if someone says something (mostly bad) and you take ofense to it, it is because you are guilty of it.

"No hay peor ciego que el que no quiere ver".
Translation: (The worse blind person is the one that does not want to see)
This is someone who chose not to accept the truth of something that is crystal clear.

"Cuentas claras chocolate espeso".
Translation: (When the account is clear the chocolate taste very good)
This means that clarity and transparency in dealings will end up right.

"Le salio el tiro por la culata".
Translation: (The shot came through the gunstock or the handle)
This means that the wrong you wanted for someone else turned back at you.

Translation: (They are cut out with the same scissors)
This means people acting in the same manner, especially if they are family members or related some how.

Tranlation: (Son or daughter of a tiger has stripes)
This means that a son or a daughter is like their father or mother, in the sense that if a mother or a father is a prostitute or a drug addict and one or more of their children follow their footsteps.

Translation: (Better small and playful than big and stupid)
This means that things that come in small packages are sometimes better than things that come in big packages.

This means that if you are lazy and do not work you will not eat; because no one is going to support you.
