Hispanic Motivational Speaker on Speaking Success
One the questions I always get when I'm on the road speaking is, "How can I become a motivational speaker?" It's a easy and tough question to answer.
First, find a subject you're passionate about and NOT one that's popular.
Second, it takes determination and a commitment to stay the course. Most people think it's glamorous to be a speaker...to a point. There's a lot of work that is going on in the background that most don't see.
Third, remember, just because you have a "purpose" or "a calling" means little. In the end, it's not about YOU, it's about your audience. No one cares about your purpose, they only care about how well you can deliver a powerful message.
Lastly, it takes money to get 'really' going. Sure, you can speak for free at local clubs and such, but in the end, if you want to grow, you have to invest in your website, literature, CDs, books, videos, etc.
To those of you with a passion for speaking, I wish you my best.

Latino Motivational Speaker
Victor,
Thank you for your post. I appreciate your words of advice on becoming a motivational speaker.
One thing that has help me along the way, which has been the same thing that I have used to accomplish all my goals is...
I made a decision on exactly what I wanted. I committed to the actions that would result in my desire. If I was not obtaining the results I wanted I made adjusments, stayed flexible, and kept moving forward. Third, do what ever it takes to not get distracted from my goal. This was the hardest for me. However, I made my goal some thing I really wanted and could be committed to 100%, and not something I was just interested in. This made all the difference.
I will see you at the Top!
