The Underrepresentation of Hispanic Executives in Fortune 1000 Corporations
Hello,
My name is Betzaida Arroyo (Betsy) and I'm researching, i.e.,conducting a study and working on a dissertation in fulfillment of the requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership through the University of Phoenix.
The purpose of this study is to explore and understand how successful Hispanics in leadership roles describe their lived experiences and to understand the choices and decisions they’ve made that resulted in success, and lessons learned from them. Lessons learned from success may suggest how to identify sources of leverage for other Hispanics.
Individual interviews of at least 20 Hispanic Executive leaders in California, will be conducted. For purposes of this study, leaders are defined as those who hold titles of, President, CEO, Vice President, Director or other major executives of Fortune 1000 companies in California.
Interviews will be conducted from June-August 2008. Anyone willing to participate or know a Hispanic Executive who works in a Fortune 1000 corporation in California and would like to participate can email me at: betzaida.arroyo@sbcglobal.net.
