Expansion Opportunity for Hispanics!
Submitted by Rheality on April 25, 2008 - 12:59. Career IssuesI recently attended a meeting for the company I work for. My company announced that they are looking for Hispanic persons to help them spread the word about our company into the Hispanic communities and also, open the doors to those Hispanic Countries.
I think it is great to see that there are companies that want to take the next step and go into our communities! I am proud to be a part of this expansion and hope that you will join me in spreading the word!
My comapny offers...

Are there any masters degrees online in computers that are good for a person with a different undergrad major?

acerca de los patrocinadores de visas H1B
Submitted by yolui on February 11, 2008 - 19:17.

The Underrepresentation of Hispanic Executives in Fortune 1000 Corporations
Submitted by barroyo36 on November 10, 2007 - 17:12. Career IssuesHello,
My name is Betzaida Arroyo (Betsy) and I'm researching, i.e.,conducting a study and working on a dissertation in fulfillment of the requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership through the University of Phoenix.
The purpose of this study is to explore and understand how successful Hispanics in leadership roles describe their lived experiences and to understand the choices and decisions they’ve made that resulted in success, and lessons learned from them. Lessons learned from success may suggest how to identify sources of leverage for other Hispanics.

Companies talk about diversity but the reality is different
Submitted by mrbjax1 on November 1, 2006 - 15:31. Career IssuesI am a 44 year old latina who worked for a large Florida insurance company for 7 years and got fired recently allegedly for my "standard of conduct". You see, myself and 2 other employees ( who I thought were my friends and who have done this same exact thing many, many times) were joking and ranting about the company. The next thing you know, my manager calls me and lets me know that I have been reported as doing this and then HR calls me and exactly a week later, my services were terminated.
My husband, who happens to be american, feels that there is a discriminatory smell to the whole thing, considering that the two other female employees were white; he also felt that they seem to have made the decision to terminate my services very quickly.
