HELP !!! HELP!!! AYUDAME !!!!
My daughter has been experiencing severe rascism and prejusdice in the classroom by her teacher. SHe came home crying and asking :What am I? Why do people hate us so much? She if of mixed race, mexican and african american. howvwe she resembles more mexican. In her 8th grade social studies class, her teacher has been advocating that a solution to the illegal immigration problem is to line the southwest border with electronic fences and setup mine fields , so that when the illegals attempt to cross they get blown up. My daughter was and is horrified , and tried to defend her view, and he said it was a solution that worked. Boys started chanting"Blow'em up... blow 'em up!!". my daughter felt like she was having to fight the class alone on these issues. He also was telling themn that the darker skinned toned people from mexicao are the mexican indians , and they are the low lives of Mexico;that mexicans are those indians that are mixed with the spaniard blood, if they dont have spaniard blood they are the low life of Mexico,; mexicans that come to this country are criminals; they come 1 of 3 ways; 1. to sell and traffic drugs;2. to steal social security numbers and come to the Us to steal social security benefits and live off the fat of the land; 3. to trick naive american girls into marrying them, then bring their whole family over and then dump the american girls. My daughter was so upset she was physically sick to her stomache. These are just a few of the comments being made in the classroom by the teacher. When I approached the administration about some of these outrageous comments among others I wa told I was being overly sensitive. They would not setup a meeting with me and the tacher, nor did they find any reason to take it further. I then went to the superintendent and have been in his office on 5 different occasions, and to date , nothing has transpired except lies known as "miscommunications",and broken promises. My daughter education plan has now been altered to the point where she is no longer able to tape her classes, which she needs to be successful because of her motor skill problems, since birth. Ive attempted to go to the local School Board however, in the middle of my conversation, the rules literally changed for getting on the agenda for the next meeting. Ive spoken with Janet she cant do anything at this level the super has to pass it to her. I'm not done trying. I have caught the superintendant in a lie about my daughter and her previous schools 504B accommodations. Ive also addressed the governor and received this email back:

I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate circumstances. The Governor does not agree with discrimination in any capacity. Unfortunately, because this involves the School Board at the local level, this issue is out of the Governor’s direct jurisdiction. However, we have forwarded your concern on to the State Department of Education for further follow-up. Also, you will be receiving an official complaint form in the mail in order to file your complaint with the U.S. Department of Education. They will be better able to assist you, as you are not receiving much help at the local level.

Deplorable web site.
Reading those lines, looking at those images, all of them full of words, full of actions; however at the very end: Emptiness.
It’s just absolutely lunacy.
Those acts have been taken out of context and there’s a very wrong handling of the facts. Indeed, sad.
I’ll share a brief local anti immigrant story:
Last January, the Minuteman group was recruiting in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
They held a meeting and the opening words were spoken by Greg Thompson (state director of the racist organization). Quote: “It takes an army and we’re getting an army…I think illegal immigrants are the most damaging thing in our country…We’re going to turn up the heat”.
One of the points that really took my attention was the following fact: To expedite the approval process in order to become a member of that organization: Carry a gun permit and voila!!! (this is true).
I contacted the journalist who covered the story in order to provide the other side, our side. I contacted the Editor and Associate Editor of the newspaper who published the event (Tulsa World), so far, nobody has reached me with the opportunity of getting a reply. I’ve asked to be in a meeting with the members of the minutemen, I would like to hear the facts, yes, the f-a-c-t-s, no the personal opinions, only the f-a-c-t-s, statistics which have let them built their argument: “Illegal immigrants are the most damaging thing in our country” (!?), then with the peace, that only the truth provides, I’ll be able to illustrate them with real facts and numbers the positive impact immigrants have done, are doing and will do for this great country: The Land of Freedom.
There’s an old Italian adage that says: “Knowledge is the ability to make everyone around you feel smarter”.
We have the real facts on our side. Let’s show all of them to the minutemen and those who think immigration and multicultural ancestry are dreadful. Let’s make them SMARTER.

I am half blk/ half hispanic..this is my position on everything..coming from both sides I can see the points made. However, even though I have hispanic family I have to be honest...the number of illegal immigrants has gotten outrageous, even when I go to the store there is like all hispanics and no one else..i dont know if no other race wants to shop next to them, or what it is. This country allows so many visas for people to come in on..so why not try to come in legally then apply for citizenship..there are ways to get here and stay. The comment made about the 9/11 issue is true..it wasnt hispanic people it was arabs..which also pisses me off b/c they are still allowed in this country. However, if you watch americas most wanted..honestly it is mostly hispanic people..who are undocumented and they have no idea where the illegals are..that in itself is ridiculous..I honestly believe 1 in 4 people wont be hispanic in 2050 because the US wont let that happen..as you can see the bills they are trying to pass now..wont allow it! I honestly love both of my races, but am ashamed that my hispanic people are acting this way..I mean honestly how can an illegal protest that things arent fair..when they arent even an american citizen..they should have no rights..Also the way mexicans attack americans in mexico is an outrage..why do you feel that americans shouldnt do the same to the mexicans..once again this is my opinion and I only speak the truth...remember I have no hate for my race I just call it like I see it...txgirl

I say this with all respect, but you cannot say that you "only speak the truth" because that may be YOUR truth only. If it was so EASY for people to get visas into the United States I think the United States would not have a problem with illegal immigration, people are generally trying to have a better life and make things easier for themselves, wouldn't it be easier to get a visa than to cross a border illegally? I think maybe. It isn't like people purposely say "ah, I should piss them americans off and cross the border illegally take their jobs and then insult them." It is not only Mexicans. Plenty of Dominicans fly to Mexico and then cross the border illegally. It isn't a big number for obvious reasons but it happens. And, yes the number of Hispanics in this country is growing, and while you walk to the store and you see only Hispanics it shouldn't scare you, it should show you that Hispanics aren't going anywhere. Perhaps in this country they haven't found their place and still feel out of sorts but at the same time this country offers so much that our countries may not, and when people have mouths to feed then law is a minor thing. It is funny that most people concentrate on the crimes done by Hispanics on America's Most Wanted. What about the crimes that our president Bush has commited? What about the crimes that take place everyday against people of color? Yes, they broadcast the Hispanics only, but please read the newspaper and look at the BIGGER picture, the crimes constantly commited against humanity, and they are not commited by hispanics, but by governments and people in power.

I understand there are Hispanics in great numbers in this country, but if you go back in history, a great part of the U.S. was part of Mexico!! Some should see the movie a day without a Mexican. My point earlier, is that I am born here, and very proud of my ethnic heritage. Every ethnic heritage has its issues. My daughter was born here in the U.S. Our family has helped build the infamous Santa Fe railway in this country, died on the tracks. Many Mexicans have given their lives for this country. If we are so concerned about illegal immigration, why did the government recruit illegal immigrants to join the armed services and sent them to IRaq. They put on the american uniform and many gave their lives for this country. We as a country didn't mind killing them off that wasy, and leaving their homes broken up, I don't see anyone screaming for those Gi's that were illegal immingrants and gave their lives. When I wrote earlier that her social studies teacher called darker skin toned mesicans as the low lives of mexico, and teaching children that they way to solve illegal immigration is to blow them up in land mines it horrified me. IAfter 7 attempts to resolve this issue. When i met with superintendant school principal and teacher present he admitted these conversations to my face with no remorse. Destroying the innocence and minds of children and advocating hate is deplorable. When people risk their lives to come to this country for a better way of life, its a humanity issue. If we are so disconnected as a cpeople in a country then we are the biggest terrorists out there. That disgusts me!!

If you havent been paying attention to the news immigration is the hot topic...what the american public want they usually get and they want a stop to ILLEGAL immigration. For someone to come into this country illegally with no way for government to track them is a horrible thing. I honestly wish it would be easier for immigrants to enter the US because it is the so called "land of opportunity". However, there are issues about over population, and we all know that hispanics love having kids..nothing wrong with that, but if the US gets over populated then we will become a third world country ourselves...there wont be enough food production, water..etc, etc..Most people think about right now..but what about later...some studies do say that the US will become a third world country, not related directly to immigration, but thats also a huge part of it...there have also been discussions of nipping immigration in the bud altogether...this might not be the best thing, but it has come up.
Yes, parts of the US was once Mexico, but if you know your history then you would know that Mexico sold that land to the US...US didnt take it. I wonder what the the forefounders who faught for the Alamo would say now...shame...Also there are a lot of Mexicans that have fought for this country..my grandfather was one of them, but it still doesnt make illegal immigration right.
