What does it take to become successfull, to get out of the hole when your hispanic

i am hispanic and 21 years old. I just started a business in houston and am in college working on a business degree. I was working at barnes and noble for about a year and kept paying bills and going to school. After being surrounded by wealthy people wanting books i finally took notice of some of the books they were reading. Like most people i started with Kyosakis rich dad books and then moved on to various other books that seemed to be all saying the same thing. Quit working for barnes and noble and try to start something. I saved 400 a month for 5 months and then decided i was going to try and invest my money in something. But what? I only had about $2000. So i started looking around to see what everyone in my city needed. I took a risk and bought a moonwalk to see if maybe i could rent it out on the weekends for some extra cash. Barnes and noble fired me because i told them i couldn't work weekends. Im pretty good at designing websites and toyed around with a computer and found tons of ways to market my moonwalk. I didnt expect it to be so popular. i was getting calls every weekend from desperate parents who needed a moonwalk, any moonwalk fast. So i bought another moonwalk after only a month in business. By the 3rd month ive been able to buy 4 moonwalks, 2 sumo suits, and 6 concessions. Marketing it was easy and seemed to come naturally. I just kept looking for ways to advertise my business. To see my website check out at http://www.houstonmoonwalkrent.com or at www.skyhimoonwalks.com
Im going on month 4 now and am learning more and more new things everyday. I would never have learned what i know now by just going to classes and working my old dead end job. i am trying to pay my way through college which is very important to me. And i am already thinking of ways to automate this business so i wont have to do all the legwork. Franchise? Maybe not yet. The demand is there, all i need is a little more time and i feel that my small business might grow into a big one. Anyways i hope some of this info will help someone else. much regards, robert from sky hi moonwalks.
