Research Study Finds Immigration to Play Lead Role in Population Growth
In a recent study conducted by the Pew Hispanic Research Center, the population of the United States will rise to 438 million in 2050. 82% of the increase will be due to immigrants arriving and their U.S. Born descendents. New projections show the national's racial and ethnic mix will change markedly by mid-century with the Hispanic share of the population rising to 29%.
