Servo Design Engineer

Job Description

Servo design and architecture including servo loop design for stability and robustness. Optimization of settle performance and improvement of I/O rate by servo design. Knowledge of PES demodulation, TMR, RRO compensation, and feed forward techniques. Hands-on experience with servo microcode development. The candidate will be expected to work with a team of top professionals on challenging controls problem related to developing Hard Disk Drives (HDD)

Job Requirements

MS or PhD in electrical or mechanical engineering (Control Systems Theory background). HDD servo development experience preferred strongly. Strong servo design, simulation and implementation skills. Ability to develop servo microcode and analysis tools. Demonstrated ability to solve servo / mechanical interaction problems in order to meet product performance requirements. Strong communication and leadership skills as well as ability to work with a diverse team required..
