Duties include designing and documenting electronic circuit boards for radar systems. The candidate will use good engineering judgment and experience to design solutions to solve common avionics design challenges. The candidate will work on a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project requirements. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience working with design and bring up of digital electronics. While the job will be centered on core electrical engineering practices, the candidate will perform a variety of different tasks including design and associated design documentation. The candidate will present technical information to peers and management during design reviews. Candidate should take ownership of assigned sub-assemblies but be open to, and seek, outside opinion. Should know an HDL and value synchronous design practices. Should seek simplicity and elegance in design solutions. Should be familiar with common signaling standards such as TTL and LVDs. Should have some experience with common busses such as VME, PCI, and RS-422. Should understand the basic use of common analog circuits and support circuitry such as termination and power supplies. Some Xilinx experience is highly desirable. Candidate should have experience with schematic capture, preferably PADS. Knowledge of basic radar and radio signal propagation concepts is highly desirable. Candidate should be comfortable working in the lab using common test equipments. Candidate should understand the hazards of working with high power radio signals and circuitry.
Job Requirements
BS Electrical Engineering with 5 years experience. Must know an HDL. Experience in designing with programmable logic. US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance. Experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. Must be proficient with MS office software. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
