Perform computer assisted design and drafting tasks in support of avionics enclosure design for Unmanned Air Vehicles. Interact with engineers to develop system level layouts, establish critical interface requirements, select materials and establish fabrication methods. Prepare first article drawings for fabrication. Work with shop personnel to support first article builds. Establish bills of materials. Perform various mechanical design tasks related to demonstrated competencies as directed.

Job Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent. May substitute equivalent experience in the field. Typical minimum experience is 6 years. Experienced in all aspects of design drafting techniques and skills of advanced level using Pro/E solid modeling. Must have experience with ANSI and MIL-STD drawing requirements. Must have 5+ yrs experience with Pro/E CAD software and 1+ years experience with ILINK. Hands-on mechanical engineering knowledge and skill. Broad understanding of engineering principles. Must understand standard shop manufacturing processes. Self motivated team player. Desirable Qualifications: Prefer a minimum ten years over all design experience supplemented by college courses or equivalent. Experience with design and fabrication of custom avionics enclosures for air vehicles. Experience with Pro/E solid modeling within Intralink.
