Interfaces with internal / external customers and management to develop Requirements / Detail Design Specifications / Statements of Work / Test Plans and Reports per Engineering Instructions. Applies engineering principles to the design and analysis of composite and metallic airframe structures, using both empirical and FEA methods. Effectively communicates technical requirements to project contributors and manages resources effectively to meet schedule requirements. Keeps management informed of status and issues at regular intervals or as requested.
Job Requirements
BS or equivalent plus 15 plus years' experience in aerospace engineering field or MS with 13 plus years' experience in engineering field. Hands-on mechanical engineering knowledge and skill. Broad understanding of engineering principles. Ability to design and analyze weight sensitive metallic and composite structures. Experience with composite to metallic joints and interfaces. Broad knowledge of materials properties. Desirable Qualifications: Experience within a fast paced / small company environment.
