Works with team to assign and accept responsibility for various portions of a major task. Effectively generates Detail Design Specifications, Test Plans and Reports per Engineering Instructions. Applies engineering principles effectively for design, development and sustaining engineering activities related to aircraft propulsion systems. Utilizes high level analytical abilities and previous experience with various Propulsion systems (Engine Oil, Gearbox Oil, Coolant, etc.) to write detailed reports that require minimal oversight from senior engineers. Effectively communicates technical requirements to project contributors. Develop drawing trees and/or bills of material and accurately accounts for technical details. Uses technical resources effectively (i.e. design, drafting) to meet technical requirements. Tracks and expedites progress of project contributors (engineers, manufacturing, etc.) and updates schedule/planning accordingly. Keeps management informed of status and issues at regular intervals or as requested.

Job Requirements

BSME or Masters' Degree with 4 plus years of experience in Mechanical Engineering. Hands-on mechanical engineering knowledge and skill with some specific Propulsion related projects or work experience. Broad understanding of engineering principles including structures, mechanics, fluid dynamics, and electronics. Understanding of configuration control requirements. Desirable Qualifications: Experience analyzing, editing, or writing Propulsion reports. Familiar with standards and training in an ISO 9001 work environment. Prior experience with contract bidding timeline and contributions to major design reviews.
