Job Description
PS611-5894 (2nd Shift)
Responsible for performing the physical or clerical tasks to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies. Receive purchased and completed manufactured items by verifying markings and quantities. Record the issue and receipt transactions in the appropriate logbook and computerized database. Verify receipts of customer-owned material from various sources, i.e. manufacturing, subcontractors, etc. Assigns part numbers as required and identify hardware using various preprinted labels, markers and labeling devices. Check the MRP system for shortages on released work orders or sales orders and issue as required. Place materials in assigned locations using the proper material handling equipment. Pull items from stock to fill kits for issue to manufacturing in order to fill sales order requirements. Prepare shipping documentation. Service in-house walkup customers requiring issuing and returning items to stock. Perform daily cycle counts including investigating and rectifying discrepancies. Maintain filing system for daily transaction documents. May administer government property. Process appropriate paperwork for transferring property. Ensure proper allotment of material to appropriate contract programs. May be required to work 2nd shift.
Job Requirements
Typically requires High School diploma and two or more years of experience in a shipping/receiving and inventory control environment. Additional stock room experience may be substituted in lieu of formal education. Must be familiar with using office and specialized inventory/stock control software to track and record inventory levels and prepare requested reports and information, and able to work extended hours as required. Must have experience with material handling equipment.
