Performs a wide variety of electronic, mechanical assembly or assembly line packaging operations. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operation in performing assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Under general supervision performs the following: Assembles components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blue print specifications. May perform duties as required in assembly of electronic equipment such as cleaning and spray coating of printed circuit boards or mechanical assembly of panels and chassis. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. This is a second shift position.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Training in basic assembly normally acquired through school or work experience equivalent of two years. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and wire lists. Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the position. Familiarity with use of soldering and compression connection tools. Good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors. Desirable Qualifications:Must have strong assembly background and be able to work within close tolerance. Candidate should have good time management skills with the ability to work independently as well as a team contributor. This individual should also have the ability to adapt to a changing work environment and organizational demands. Must have good communication skills.
