DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide customer support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality Control department personnel. Department Specialist will receive, log, organize and file incoming documents. Creates, modifies, updates and maintains Production Test Procedures (PTP's) in both hard and soft copies using MS Word. May design processes to enhance workflow, and develop and make presentations. Provides data and information on requests from all levels of employees and customers. May provide direction to less experienced staff. Assignments are of moderate scope and importance where judgment is required in analyzing, interpreting, and making recommendations in resolving non-routine issues. Performs frequent electronic searches of indexed documents for requestors. Will have frequent interaction with management, customers, vendors and government agencies. Must be able to work under limited supervision with no instructions needed on routine work and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments. Gathers, collects, records, tracks, verifies data and information from multiple sources. Responds to routine verbal and written requests for information fron internal sources and may respond to verbal and written requests for information from authorized external parties and/or agencies. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: HS education or equivalent with 4 years experience in a document control environment. Experience working with engineering documents and operation of office equipment. Experience with MS Office applications. Must possess: the ability to grasp new concepts quickly; the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; good organization skills; attention to detail; the ability to identify issues; basic analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; . Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
