Job Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: #5322
Provide technical support in all aspects of thin film coatings produced on Large Scale Vacuum Web Coaters.
Responsible for documentation and training in process related issues.
Minimize process variation from run to run.
Supervise Process Technicians.
Analyze process and SPC data and make continual process improvements.
Responsible for all aspects of optical instrumentation, Instrument uptime, calibration of instrument, archive ofproduction data
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a 4 year college degree in a technical field, or work experience in a technical field in conjunction with a non-technical degree.
A 4-year or advanced degree in Optics, Physics, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
The position requires three to five years experience in thin film deposition and vacuum technology and one to two years experience in reactive magnetron sputter deposition
The position requires minimal supervisory or management experience.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong knowledge of processes related to deposition and patterning of thin film coatings, including metals and metal oxides
Must have strong thin film materials and surface characterization and analysis skills using various tools, strong materials science and chemistry background, and the ability to perform sophisticated designed experiments applying various areas of both
Ideally will have experience in process automation control methods, hardware and software.
