DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:#5703

Provide overall Software Quality Assurance leadership for the division.

Responsible for division-level SQA planning, auditing and reporting concerning compliance of all projects with established engineering processes and procedures.

Responsible for monitoring and oversight of project internal SQA planning and activities to ensure project compliance with established engineering process, Governemt (esp. military) contract requirements and industry best practices.

Responsible for coordinating with corporate Quality Asurance in the monitoring of contract compliance regarding software activities.

Responsible for support of division programs to achieve and maintain industry quality objectives, e.g. IS09001, SEI-CMMI, etc.

May include auditing subcontractors for process and/or contract compliance.

Note that software testing is a separate function, and is not a part of SQA activities.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. degree in software or computer engineering, computer science or other applicable engineering discipline, plus a minimum of 7 years industry experience in software development, including at least 3 full years focused on SQA work and at least 3 years engaged in DoD development programs.

Experience in an organization using SEI CMMI or SW-CMM.

Understanding of MIL-STD-498, IEEE 12207 and related standards.

Experience in development of embedded microprocessor software.

Exposure to ISO-9001.

Strong interpersonal communication and interaction skills.

Ability to produce high-quality written documentation.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal training in SEI CMMI or CMM-SW.

Experience developing microprocessor hardware platforms.

Experience in engineering process and procedure development and implementation.

OTHER PARTICULARS:

U.S. citizenship required.
