Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:#5900

This position is responsible for the planning, administration and integrating logistics strategies, processes, and tools, including SAP, and participating in building relationships with customers through logistic initiatives.

Integrates learning from customers, competitors, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. Provide direction to staff and may lead a team of experienced professional staff.

Essential Functions:

Gather and analyze manufacturing business requirements.
Design business flows, develop and implement SAP Repetitive Manufacturing functionality.

Lead functional group of SAP personnel as defined by SAP job roles.
Maintain SAP Discrete Manufacturing functionality in support of changing business requirements.

Train users on SAP Manufacturing, Planning and Logistics transactions.

Participate in defining and executing tactical plans for supply chain management.

Establish and coordinate knowledge management functions within ATG.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Typically requires a Bachelors degree and six or more of progressively complex logistics management experience.

Equivalent experience may substitute in lieu of education.

Candidate must have a thorough understanding of logistics management concepts, principles, and theory and experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts.

Candidate must have intimate familiarity with SAP.

Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex logistics issues, including supply chain activities.

Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Lead a team of experienced professional employees on assigned aspects of project(s).

Able to work extended hours and travel as required.
