DESCRIPTION

Supports the establishment of risk selection standards for underwriting rules, requirements and policies for Individual Life Insurance. Develops and maintain New Business forms and
applications and maintains underwriting instructional materials related to assorted risk
selection and compliance activities.Provides subject matter expertise for many varied
functions. Technical oversight of the underwriting operations and full underwriting authority up to established Company retention limits.

The incumbent for this position can be located in Plymouth, MN.; Fort Washington, PA.; Newark, NJ.; or Jacksonville, FL.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
The incumbent should have a minimum of 10 years underwriting experience and an in-depth understanding of risk selection principles. FALU or CLU designations are a plus. S(he) should be decisive and have the ability to communicate and support difficult decisions with authority, while perserving the producer relationship. Excellent communication skills are critical to interface effectively individually with internal underwriting associates and external partners; and more broadly in the performance of training and presentation activities. The individual should have experience and sound skills working with distribution associates, and exhibit strong leadership qualities and advancement potential.
