Management/Sales Summer Internship
Job Description
COLLEGE INTERN PROGRAM
Sherwin-Williams has developed a comprehensive internship program to teach college students the many facets of branch operations over a period of one or two summers. During their internship, students will gain practical experience working in a wholesale branch store and be exposed to the following:
· Sales · Financial Reports · Operations Management
· Customer Service/Relations · Accounts Receivable · Inventory Management
· Product Knowledge · Marketing · Merchandising
Additionally, Interns will complete a special project on a relevant business issue, which they will have an opportunity to present in August during an all-expenses paid trip to our Division Headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
Interns who successfully complete the program and want to apply to our Management Training Program will have an advantage over other applicants.
Job Requirements
ELIGIBILITY/REQUIREMENTS
Eligible students are enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university and have completed their sophomore year by the start of the Internship. Applicants with majors in management, marketing, or a related field are preferred. Applicants should have part-time or summer work experience in sales or customer service, excellent communication skills, a great work ethic, and an interest to work in an active, “roll up your sleeves” environment. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis following graduation without sponsorship or restriction.
