Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the largest rental car company in North America. We operate more than 878,000 Rental and Fleet Management vehicles worldwide and have annual revenues of $9 billion. Local Facts
The first Houston Enterprise rental office opened in 1974 at Old Katy Rd. and Gessner in West Houston. Since then, we have grown to more than 225 branch offices in the Houston area. We have also expanded our Car Sales division and doubled the size of our Fleet Management division. We were nominated by the Houston Business Journal in 2006 as one of the Best Places to Work. We were also ranked in 2007 as one of the Best Places to work in Texas by Texas Monthly magazine. Never one to become satisfied with an achieved level of success, the Houston Group continues to break size and sales goals regionally, reflecting the nationwide success of the company. While we believe in working hard, we also know the importance of having fun. Company-sponsored events like our annual holiday party, happy hours and business dinners are just some of the events that bring our employees together outside of work. I learned a lot in college. But at Enterprise, I’m gaining so much real-world business knowledge. Enterprise trains me in every aspect of running a successful business – from marketing and sales to accounting and finance – and then gives me the opportunity to do it.
It’s amazing how fast I was making crucial business decisions that affect the bottom line of a $9 billion industry leader. Also, if I need help, I’m not on my own. Under Enterprise’s promote-from-within philosophy, I’m being mentored by successful, career-minded individuals who were once in my shoes.
