Business Development Manager

Job Description

The Business Development Manager is the Field Operations Technical Expert supporting regionally based Account Managers and Project Managers by providing strategic and tactical support in the opportunity to order process.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Motivate, direct, and utilize the D-R client facing organization within a matrix organization to achieve bookings and sales goals.
- Provide timely and accurate assistance to the Account Managers, Key Client Managers and Field Operations Project Managers. This work is conducted within a matrix organization.
- Maintain high visibility of the Field Solutions team by communicating and executing its initiatives in the assigned territory.
- Develop cost estimates, financial analysis, risk analysis and proposals for Field Solutions opportunities.
- Oversee the commercial aspects of existing long-term contracts.
- Accountable for profitability of Field Solutions contracts in the assigned territory.
- Conduct sales calls with the Customer Facing Organization.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, including current sales pipeline information.
- Develop progress execution reports for existing long-term contracts.

The Field Solutions BDM handles opportunities including Long Term Service Agreements, Turnkey Projects, Field Crews, Bundled Solutions, remanufacturing and Reliability Maintenance Improvement Programs.

This position has no direct reports. The BDM will interact with project managers, account managers, key client managers and field services personnel in a matrix organization.

Job Requirements

BS Engineering with 7+ years related experience required.

Experience/Knowledge in reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, rotating equipment, turnkey projects and equipment reliability is a plus.
