Job Description
Responsibilities - Works to build a long-term advisory relationship with each client by analyzing situations from the client's perspective and with the goal of achieving results which are in the best interest of the client and Wachovia. Develops sales strategies for maintaining and further penetrating existing client relationships (includes pre-call planning and post-call follow-up activities. Executes market sales and service strategies. Makes proactive sales calls on financial center customers and prospects. Seeks business opportunities through referrals from existing client relationships. Handles sales and service requests from financial center walk-in traffic. Combines consultative sales approach and financial expertise to create value-added solutions for clients. Places highest value on customer relationships by striving toward excellent customer service and producing customer satisfaction. Effectively uses SOLD to manage and work leads, contacts and daily sales activities. Manages client relationships in the Book of Business to optimize growth, retention and profitability. Responsible for achieving individual and team goals. Adhere to customer service protocols and process. Uses effective leadership to motivate and generate enthusiasm among financial center team members. Invests time in improving team member performance, offering information and education related to products and services. Delivers and proactively seeks feedback for improving personal as well as team performance. Actively participates within the financial center team, daily financial center huddles, and team meetings to ensure that financial center goals are achieved. Supports CRA efforts and participants in community and civic activities. Serves as initial point of contact for customers when needed. Follows up with customers to make sure needs are being met. Maintains technical knowledge of all Wachovia processes, systems, policies and procedures for both consumer and small business products and services. Works within the organizational structure to effectively get work done (i.e. effectively utilize SBBD, Consumer Credit, BBC, etc.). Ability to understand personal and small business financial statements and tax returns. Carries out Individual Development Plan in order to enhance job performance and meet personal and team objectives. Maintains sales results and continuing education coursework to keep licenses/certifications in good standing. Maintains working knowledge of in-market competitors (products, pricing, etc.).
Job Requirements
Requirements - BS or BA preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Insurance and Series 6/63 licenses required or must be willing to obtain. Lending experience preferred. Two years direct sales experience within the past three years. Proven track record/experience in sales and customer service. Ability to assess customer needs and match products and services accordingly. Effective communication and interpersonal skills necessary. Proven problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, and decision making skills required. Ability and desire to interact in a team environment; must be willing to contribute to team efforts.
