Position Overview
Analyze and track system traffic statistics on the Lucent/Nortel CDMA cellular networks. Forecast and budget equipment capacity based on traffic growth statistics and sales forecasts. Capacity tracking graphs need to be generated and updated continuously to predict capacity exhaustion of network elements. Ensure capacity of ancillary switch equipment to include Tellabs, DAC’s, Glenayre VM, DC Power Plants, Echo Cancellers, and test access systems. Track and forecast growth on all ancillary switch equipment on an ongoing basis. Forecast capacity on SS7 and ATM networks. Forecast communication link usage on SS7 and ATM circuits and predict when expansion is required. Perform network audits ensuring network capacity and integrity. Make sure all network elements are being utilized and monitor repair activity so that network elements are returned to service in a reasonable time. Familiar with UNIX/Solaris Operating Systems, various spreadsheets, presentations, and word processing software formats. Develop UNIX scripts to generate reports as necessary.

Job Requirements

Qualifications 5+ years experience with Nortel CDMA cellular networks is required Bachelors Degree in a technical related field or equivalent work experience is required 5+ years experience with UNIX / Solaris operating systems
