POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Compensation Practice works directly with clients’ Human Resources Departments and line supervisors and employees to develop and implement both domestic and global broad-based compensation plans including total rewards programs, incentive plans and performance management processes. Thorough knowledge and experience with a broad range of job evaluation techniques is critical. We have a fast moving pace with quick turnaround time for client deliverables, in an environment of continuous learning for eager associates. We are experiencing high revenue growth and more is planned. The ideal candidate will be able to manage mid-sized projects with minimal guidance or supervision, serve in a primary project management role on large interdisciplinary projects and support the senior consultants on the largest projects.

Job Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan Design
•Developing and modeling broad-based compensation plans to meet a broad range of client business objectives. Plans include approaches to both variable and base pay.

Market Analysis, Salary Structure Design and Job Evaluation
•Market pricing of jobs and preparing recommendations for compensation
•Benchmarking annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan design and practice
•Conducting custom surveys of compensation and/or total reward data
•Developing a range of market-based salary structures (e.g., traditional, broad grade, broad band, step structures)
•Benchmarking incentive plan designs and practices
•Knowledge and experience with a range of job evaluation methodologies (e.g., point-factor job evaluation, whole job slotting, market-based leveling framework, etc.)

Financial Analysis
•Modeling financial impact of compensation plans and programs
•Leveraging software to complete compensation analyses
•Conducting statistical analysis of compensation data

Presentations and Marketing
•Preparing exhibits, summaries and recommendations for client reports
•Monitoring an industry's issues for compensation related trends and implications
•Supporting direct marketing activities such as writing proposals, attending new business calls and developing new opportunities with current clients
•Managing the deliverable schedules to clients to ensure timely completion
•Research and writing presentations for external seminars

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Ability to work well with others in a team environment
•Ability to guide the work of analytical staff
•Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision
•Ability to identify and solve problems creatively
•Strong written, verbal and quantitative skills
•Attention to detail and focus on quality assurance
•Strong working knowledge of Excel, MSWord, PowerPoint
•Prefer Masters Degree in Business, Human Resources, Economics, or related fields with five year to eight years compensation or related experience and/or strong working knowledge of compensation methodology, statistical methods, data analysis and presentation and creative problem solving
