Learning for Life is designed to support schools and other youth-serving organizations in their efforts toward preparing youth to successfully handle the complexities of today’s society and to enhance their self-confidence, motivation, and self-worth. The Learning for Life Program helps youth develop social and life skills, enhances their career awareness, assists in character development and helps them formulate positive personal values. It prepares and supports young people when making ethical decisions that will help them achieve their full potential. The Learning for Life executive manager position is a solid, paid professional position offering independence and stability as well as solid compensation, benefits and advancement. What Learning for Life Executives Do?
As an executive manager, you will identify, recruit, train, guide and inspire educators, community and business leaders, and volunteers to become involved in Learning for Life. You are responsible for the overall growth, extension, quality, program enhancement, and supervision of the Learning for Life program within a specified geographical area. You will oversee corps of adult volunteers who in turn support, train, and motivate the adult volunteer leaders delivering the Learning for Life program. Though most of the work deals with management, sales, public relations and fund-raising, a lot of time is spent in the community checking out the action in your assigned geographical areas, making sure that goals are set and objectives are met. The Learning for Life executive helps organize and support the volunteer resources necessary to deliver its program to today’s nearly 1.6 million active participants in Learning for Life’s in-school programs as well as through providing youth with career awareness opportunities.


Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
• United States citizenship or declared intention to become a U.S. citizen
• Adult – must have attained age 21 unless prohibited by any applicable law
• People-oriented, having the ability to work well with adult volunteers, community and business leaders, and representatives of other organizations
• Able to work varied hours when necessary to achieve positive objectives
