Nalco has an opening for a Communications Specialist in our Communications Group located in Naperville, IL. The Communications Specialist will primarily be responsible for communications activities in support of corporate, division, business unit, and department goals.

Other Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with Nalco marketers in order to understand their strategic business objectives and to formulate communication strategies/tactics in support of those objectives.
Understand how and when to implement various channels to market including sales support, direct mail, targeted email, tradeshows, advertising and web site.
Ability to leverage both internal and external resources to produce deliverables including sales literature, promotional copy, tradeshow graphics, and graphic design.
Write and edit various documents including brochure copy, technical papers, case studies and sales promotion mailings.
Develop contacts and maintain effective working relationships across Nalco business units and functional groups.
Manage appropriate project files and records.
Support and maintain Nalco corporate policies, branding standards, trademarks, copyrights, and other legal requirements.

The minimum qualifications the candidate will have include:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
2 - 3 years of account management experience
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment handling multiple, deadline-driven projects

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Strong people skills and talent for team building
Confidence, not intimidated by technical language and ability to multi-task
