The Facility Manager will direct the Facilities Management for a multi-site school district to include engineering, maintenance, custodial, and grounds services. This professional will be responsible for motivating and supporting unionized school district employees, budgeting labor, supplies, equipment and related services/materials required for cost-effective operations and results.
*BS Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business or related degree is preferred
*Must have a minimum of 5 years multi-site facility management experience to include technical knowledge of maintenance equipment, boilers/chillers, cleaning procedures, custodial, and grounds and landscape management services.
*Construction management and capital program management experience is a plus
*Ability to work with all levels and types of individuals is necessary for success in this position
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple constituents is required
*The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role.
*Experience directing skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled trade personnel is required
*The ability to oversee capital projects, maintenance plans is strongly desired.
*Strong financial analysis, interpretation skills and basic computer skills are necessary.
*P&L accountability experience is required.
