Takes customer calls in an inbound call center environment. Relationship building and account management in a professional manner. Achieve individual sales/retention goals by offering insurance related products to the customer. Handle customer inquiries concerning basic account information. Takes ownership and initiative to complete necessary research and customer follow-up or direct the customer to the appropriate department for resolution. Will have inbound sales/retention goals that will involve ability to learn and apply sales strategies while working to create and develop new sales techniques. Generate relationships that lead to sales/retention through conversations with card members, incorporating needs analysis, building rapport, offering product information and overcoming objections.
Full knowledgeable of features, benefits and procedures for all portfolios and takes initiative for reviewing daily updates and implementing changes with minimal supervision. Provide extraordinary service through phone interactions with customers, focusing on resolving their requests the first time with an efficient, accurate, professional and courteous manner to create customer loyalty. Must achieve and adhere to Insurance Services performance and quality guidelines. Comply with federal regulations HSBC policies and procedures. Possess solid verbal and written communication skills to assist with the solicitation and retention of products and services.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School graduate or equivalent experience required
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Access) is preferred
• A good telephone personality with sales/retention experience coupled with the ability to work in a high volume department is necessary
• Fluent in Spanish or French or Cantonese
• Able to work four weekdays (1:30pm to 10:00pm) and Saturday (10:30am to 7:00pm)
• Candidate must be a self-starter who is driven to accomplish goals with proven organizational, written and verbal communication skills
