Mobile C.A.R.E. Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides free health care to children with asthma via mobile medical clinics, the Asthma Vans. A job opening is available for a Driver/Clinical Assistant who can work with a team, including a physician and nurse, in an innovative environment to provide asthma care to underserved families.

Duties include:
• Drive 37-foot long recreational vehicle from garage to school site and back each weekday
• Refuel mobile clinic vehicle
• Log all miles driven and maintenance performed
• Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior clinic
• Open and close mobile medical clinic each morning and afternoon
• Assist in office management responsibilities during clinic day (i.e. greeting and checking in patients, answering office telephone, filing, taking inventory of clinic supplies)
• Act as clinic security officer
• Other duties as necessary

• Current Illinois driver’s license: CDL Class “A,” “B,” or “C” (Regular class “D” license will NOT fulfill this requirement)
• Experience driving recreational vehicles and/or semis or large trucks
• Clean driving record
• Non-smoker or smoker with ability and willingness to hold off on smoking for the entire day (smoke is an asthma trigger, and since we treat many severely asthmatic kids, we can’t have employees who smoke at any point during the day as the smell stays on clothes)
• Must be 23 years or older (to meet insurance requirement)
• Safe, responsible driving skills
• Experience with Chicago streets
• Experience working with children
• High school diploma or GED
• Computer experience preferred
• Experience in a medical setting a plus
