Network Analyst - Converged Network Operations - Dorchester
Job Description
JOB DUTIES:
-Providing consistent quality customer service to our internal customers
-Provide 1st level voice, video, and data support for all network related devices during normal business hours as well as on-call support after-hours.
-Assist the Network Operations Center in finding & trouble-shooting outages.
-Make sure device configurations are kept up to standard.
-Work on small maintenance projects. Monitor and respond to all network alarms.
-Taking ownership and resolving complex problems with the WAN/LAN and telephony environment. If no resolution, escalating to next level support for problem resolution.
-Performing IOS upgrades, system request changes, and enhancements to LAN/WAN devices as necessary.
-Find Issues proactively using network monitoring tools.
-Perform root cause analysis of recurring technical problems and work with system owners to resolve.
-Complete several small maintenance projects every quarter.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
*2 to 4 years of experience working with various network technologies including, TCP/IP, routers and switches.
*College degree
*Cisco CCNA or equivalent knowledge is desired
*Solid understanding of Cisco Equipment and other network devices.
*Knowledge of standard LAN/WAN interconnection topologies, and services to include; ATM, DS-3, T-1, and ISDN circuits.
*Ability to follow detailed procedures and follow through on assigned tasks.
*Flexible, team player able to work nights and weekends as needed
*Willing to travel to remote sites when necessary
*Share on-call support duties
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
