Events Viva Oklahoma Hispanic Chamber Expo - July 28, 2007,10 a.m.- 7 p.m. - Oklahoma City, OK The 2007 Viva Oklahoma Hispanic Chamber Expo, sponsored by the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 28 at the State Fairgrounds Transportation Building in Oklahoma City. The Expo, a Centennial event, is the largest Hispanic event in Oklahoma and is expected to attract more than 12,000 attendees and 160 local businesses. Leaders Roberto Suro, the Director of the Pew Hispanic Center, has accepted an appointment from the University of Southern California as a professor at the Annenberg School for Communication, and will be leaving for Los Angeles in mid-August. He will continue to do research and writing on Hispanics and immigration, but in his own words, "This new job offers an opportunity to return to my first profession, journalism, at a time when it is facing extraordinary challenges.
