From California to New York, Hispanic bloggers are speaking up in ways that could influence Latino voters' decisions just as their votes are becoming more relevant in this year's presidential race. A prominent feature of these blogs is their ability to jump freely between Spanish and English.

Research Study Finds Immigration to Play Lead Role in Population Growth
A recent study conducted by the Pew Hispanic Research Center says the population of the United States will rise to 438 million in 2050, with 82% of the increase due to new immigrants arriving and their U.S.- born descendents. New projections show the nation's racial and ethnic mix will change markedly by mid-century with the Hispanic share of the population rising to 29%.

Hispanic Leadership Linked to Education
Hispanic purchasing power is $800 billion a year and growing by one billion dollars a week. Yet many challenges remain in higher education and an increasingly high-tech workplace. "Despite impressive growth, we lag in higher education participation," said ETS Senior Vice President Yvette Donado.
