The Southern Scholarship Foundation proudly serves students attending five major universities in Florida:
Bethune-Cookman College, Florida A&M University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida State University, and the University of Florida.

Program Description:
For over fifty years Southern Scholarship Foundation has helped more than 8,000 students with outstanding academic abilities, good character and financial need realize their dream of a college education . Qualified students attending Florida State University, Florida A&M University, the University of Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University, and Bethune-Cookman College are awarded scholarships in the form of rent-free housing to live in one of twenty-seven, furnished scholarship houses that are adjacent to their college campus.

How to Apply for a Scholarship:
1.- Download the application.
2.- Complete fully and return to:

3.- Keep track of what you have turned in with the application check list.
4.- If, after you submit your application, there are still items we have not received, you will receive a email stating what information is missing.

Scholarship Timeline:
March 1 — Complete applications will be evaluated.
Late April — Acceptance letters mailed.
Late June — Students will receive their house assignment packet.
Late August — Students move into their new homes depending on start of classes.

*** Priority will be given to those applicants who complete the application by March 1. We accept submission of applications after the priority deadline. Many late applicants are awarded scholarships or put on our wait list.
