The Hispanic Leaders Group of Greater St. Louis is offering three scholarships of $1,000 to students who meet its qualifications.

Scholarships include: a merit-based scholarship to a college or university student seeking his or her first degree; a financial-need scholarship to a college or university student seeking his or her first degree; and a scholarship to a student at a vocational or trade school.

Application forms can be requested by writing to the Hispanic Leaders Group, P.O. Box 1576, St. Louis, Mo. 63188 or by calling John Galatoire at 314-803-7029. Applications must be received by June 30.

Hispanic college students pursuing math, science, engineering or technology degrees can apply for more than $2 million in scholarships and internships.

They can do so through Advancing Hispanic Excellence in Technology, Engineering, Math and Science, the educational foundation of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

Students can apply for as many scholarships and internships as they qualify for.

Deadlines range from Feb. 1 to April 1.

Caterpillar Scholarships
Four Caterpillar scholarships of $1,500 each will provide an excellent way to strengthen company ties with Georgia Tech and its distinguished students. These scholarships will be available to undergraduate students entering the MSE program.

Caterpillar scholarships will be awarded during the academic year to qualifying students in areas of academic interest to Caterpillar. Each student will be known as a Caterpillar scholar.
