Domestic Violence Crisis Center
The Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting those individuals and families experiencing physical, verbal, emotional or sexual abuse by a family member, an intimate partner or a person that a home is shared with. DVCC has two sites in Stamford and Norwalk in the state of Connecticut. DVCC provides services to the communities of Stamford, Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Westport, Wilton and Weston. Services include the 24/7 toll-free hotline (valid only in the state of Connecticut) 1-888-774-2900; counseling; support groups; victim advocacy; safe houses; child advocacy; bilingual services and community education. DVCC assists all victims of domestic violence regardless of legal immigration status, language or economic situation. DVCC offers trainings and workshops to organizations, businesses, companies and groups in the seven communities served in order to raise awareness about domestic violence and the services DVCC provides. All services and workshops are in English and Spanish.
